# List suggested job role permissions

> List the permissions the owner of a shared job role has attached to it, as a recommendation for your organisation.

A job role's permissions apply only in the organisation that attached them, so a job role shared with your organisation arrives carrying none of its owner's permissions. This endpoint shows what the owner considers the role needs, so you can copy the parts you want into your own organisation as your own grants. Nothing returned here is in force for your organisation until you do.

Scopes are not transferable: a scope naming the owner's resources means nothing in your organisation, so copy the permission and set your own scope.

Returns an empty list for a job role your own organisation owns, because that organisation's set is the active one and is readable through `/v3/grants`.

Requires the role to be shared, an active bridge from the role's owner to the organisation named in the query, membership of that organisation, and permission to create grants in it.
